Tomorrow I head off to the Romance Writers of America conference in Anaheim. I’m looking forward to attending some great workshops and meeting agents and publishers. One of my favorite authors—James Rollins—will speak about putting more thrill in your thrillers. It will be fun to see what an action/adventure novelist says to women who write in the Romance genre. Since, my novels are paranormal thrillers with romantic elements this workshop is right up my alley! Hope I can get in.
I’ve completed the rough draft of The Merkabah Deception—the 2nd novel in the Merkabah series—and working on the re-write. The next novel has a lot of action—creepy stuff—and plenty of thrills. Unlike my first one, the 2nds novel has been under wraps; although, a few friends and family members were told the ending so I could gauge their reaction. I won’t be working on it for the next few days—hope I don’t go into withdrawals.
I heard—don’t know for sure—that all the publishing deals are made at the bar. I’ll have to watch my language and the number of drinks I consume!
